The BBC recently reported that a Japanese study has found that fucoxanthin may have profound anti-obesity implications. "I hope that our will help reduce obesity in the US and elsewhere," said study leader Professor Kazuo Miyashita of Hokkaido University in Japan. Sharing their findings at a scientific conference in San Francisco, Dr Miyashita's team reported that what makes fucoxanthin so unique it has been scientifically proven to burn fat (particularly abdominal fat) by adaptive thermogenesis within white adipose tissue. This approach has never been explored before. Fucoxanthin works by breaking apart protein families and allowing the body to naturally metabolize fat, which is usually the last thing the body burns when expending energy. But what is most notable is that in this study, the subjects that were given the fucoxanthin dropped a quarter of their body weight in 4 weeks. Scientists have found that fucoxanthin could help burn up to 10% of body weight, mainly from around the abdomen.
Fucoxanthin appears to target a protein called UCP1 that increases the rate at which abdominal fat is burned. Professor Miyashita says his tests are the first to find a natural food component that has been shown to reduce fat by targeting the UCP1 protein.
Fucoxanthin also appears to stimulate the production of DHA, one of the omega-3 fatty acids found in fatty fish such as salmon. In one study involving 110 overweight women, fucoxanthin and pomegranate resulted in nearly 450% greater weight loss than diet alone after just 16 weeks! In another clinical trial, healthy volunteers experienced an average increase in metabolic rate of 18.5% over just diet alone.
Fucoxanthin is the compound that gives brown seaweedits distinctive color. The weight loss benefits of Xanthadrene are enhanced by an active ingredient in pomegranate seed which helps prevent new fat cells from developing by choking off their blood supply and stunting their growth.
Another two key ingredients in Xanthadrene are Hoodia (Certified South African) and Green Tea Etxract.
Scientists say Hoodia contains a molecule (P57) that is similar to sugar, only much stronger. It fools the brain into thinking that it has just eaten, thereby eliminating hunger. It is a natural appetite suppressant that assists in weight loss through appetite control. It is considered so safe that it is classified as a food, not a medicine. Hoodia controls appetite, but is not considered a weight loss product. It is not a stimulant nor does it possess any thermogenic properties. Xanthadrene Directions:
As a dietary supplement, take one (1) Xanthadrene capsule three (3) times daily with food and 8 ounces of water. This product should be used in conjunction with a sensible diet and exercise program. Do not exceed three (3) Xanthadrene capsules per day.
